For me, photography is as much a means of escape as it is a form of relaxation. Setting out early, with a full tank of gas and the open road before me, I have indeed affected an escape. And the freedom, the possibilities seem endless. I have the scenic wealth of the mountains, the shorelines, country roads and urban streets from which to choose.

When I set up a shot, adjust the focus, the world around me begins to fade until the only thing real, the only thing that matters, is what is seen through the eye of the lens. My escape is then complete.
