Religious Education Programs:  Started last Sunday.  If you have children that have not signed up, there is still time.  Contact the Parish Office if you have any further questions.

Kermes:  The Hispanic Community will have a Kermes (Mexican Fiesta) in our picnic grounds Sunday, October 19th, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.  There will be live music, a variety of delicious Mexican food and games for all ages.  Proceeds for our Lady of Guadalupe festivities. Invite all your friends to come and have a nice Sunday meal!

Observer:  Don't forget to pick up your October issue copy at the Church entrance.  Some of the topics include "Safe Environment Program,"  (the middle section of the October issue pulls out and contains the full text of the new Safe Environments Policy.) news from around the Diocese and a reflection on this month's celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Pope John Paul II's papacy.

There is also a program known as LIMEX.  The Diocese of Monterey, in partnership with Loyola University of New Orleans, is offering a program in adult faith formation.  The program includes study in Scripture, Morality, Spirituality and Leadership.  If you are interested in knowing more about this program, an "Information Session" will be held at Nativity of Our Lady Parish in San Luis Obispo on Thursday, Oct.30th from 7:30--8:30 pm Room 8.  All are welcome to attend.

Lectors:  An evening of  "Formation For Lectors and Preachers" will be hosted by the Diocese of Monterey at Nativity of Our Lady in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday, October 29th from 6:30--9:00 pm.  Instruction will be in both English and Spanish.  All Lectors and anyone thinking of becoming a Lector should please attend.  If you wish to deepen your understanding of your role as Lector and enhance your presentation skills, please contact Chris Bausch at 239-0601 (days) or 239-9059 (evenings) or call Rosemary Fryer at 238-2054.

Mission San Miguel Cupboard for Needy People:   If you would like to share with people who come to the Parish Office for food, our cupboard is in need of packages of garbanzo,  pink beans, rice and macaroni.  Cans, our cupboard is in need of vegetables, tomatoe sauce and tuna.  Thank you for your help!!

Finance Committee:  Is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, October 15th at 10:00 am.

Parish Council Meeting:  Scheduled for Friday, October 17th at 7:00 pm in the Classroom.
