SAN MIGUEL MISSION STATEMENT:  After a lengthy inspection and consultation with our engineer and others, a decision has been made in the interest of public safety, to keep the church, front courtyard and cemetery of San Miguel Mission closed for the time being.  We have plans to do some short-term shoring of the Sacristy and Arcade in the next few weeks.  Once that work has been completed, we will re-evaluate the safety issues and determine whether the Church may be re-opened.

Our engineer will be consulting with the County Building Department to make sure that our plans are in compliance with county requirements.

We are requesting the use of Casa San Miguel at 14th and Mission until further notice.

Diocesan Council of Catholic Women: San Luis Obispo Deanery meeting will be on January 10, 2004 at St. Anne Byzantine Church, 222 Foothill Blvd., San Luis Obispo, CA.  Mass at 10:30 am--Luncheon following (Donation--$3.00).  Please call Faith Ann at 544-5634 before Jan.5, 2004.  Rev.
