Santa Margarita de Cortona Catholic Church: Is having their annual fund raising effort on Saturday, August 27th, on the grounds of the Santa Margarita Ranch. Prayer Group:
Sr. Loretta wants to invite and remind everyone to the prayer group gathering at her house every Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

Catechism Classes: Registration will begin on Sunday August 28th after all Masses. Classes begin October 9th. For further information, please call the Parish Office.

Natural Family Planning: Today 1 out of 5 couples have difficulties conceiving a child. Natural Family Planning is a low tech, low cost, moral, infertility intervention which has helped many couples. Call Roger & Mary Legreid for further information at 239-3964.
Second Annual Golf Tournament: The Golf Tournament is approaching!! Don LaVallee, who is again heading this wonderful event to raise funds for the Mission Preservation Fund, is inviting all parishioners or anyone else you might know to be a Tee-sponsor, the contribution is $200. MISSION FIESTA RAFFLE TICKETS: On sale now after every Mass for $1.00 each. First Prize $500.00 and Second Prize $100.00. Raffle on the day of the Fiesta; September 18th. Please see Fr. Ray or Sr. Loretta. They can also be purchased in our Parish Office. Thank you all for your support!! Proceeds for Mission San Miguel Preservation Fund. 
Future Upcoming Fundraising Events for our Mission Preservation Fund:

  • Sept. 3rd--Saturday-- (Labor Day Weekend) 2nd Annual Golf Tournament at the Paso Robles Country Club.
  • Sept. 17th--Saturday--Chapel Hill Concert in Shandon, CA. Mission San Miguel Choir will also be participating. Prize: Suggested donation of $5.
  • Sept. 18th--Sunday--Annual Mission Fiesta & BBQ--Adults $8 and children $5. Starting with the 11am Mass. Celebrating 208 years! Raffle tickets now on sale for $1 ea. 1st Prize $500 and 2nd prize $100.
  • Oct. 2nd--Sunday--Concert at Rios Caledonia Adobe in San Miguel. "Spanish Days at the Old Adobe" from 11am to 4 pm. There will be food, Dancers and musicians from the days of Early California, native

Special Announcement: This is to remind everyone that daily Mass, Monday through Friday, is now scheduled at the Senior Center of San Miguel, 599 12th St., and will be at 8:00 am ONLY. The 9:00 am Saturday Mass will be at the Senior Center of San Miguel. The Sunday Masses are at the same regularly scheduled times and will be held outdoors on the Mission Grounds -unless further advised.

Missionary Trip: "Expand your Horizons and Deepen your Faith." Maryknoll Lay Missioner Ministry of Global Spirituality invites you to their 3rd Friends Across Borders trip to Kenya, East Africa from Oct. 1-15, 2005. You will be hosted by Maryknoll Lay Missioners in Nairobi and Mombassa. Each day will be filled with lectures, liturgy and visits to ministry sites. You will experience the mission of Church in East Africa and will walk with the people of Kenya sharing with them the love of Christ. Also included is a 2 day safari to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
