Lenten Retreat to be Held
at Historic San Miguel Mission
San Miguel, CA. Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - If you already don’t know, there’s going to be a very
special Lenten Retreat at the Old Mission San Miguel March 23rd - 25th.. By popular demand, Brother Bill Short will be conducting
the Retreat. Br. Bill is a dynamic speaker
that brings to life the spirituality and meaning of Lent in our everyday lives.
Br. Bill’s viewpoint comes
from a long list of accomplishments and learning. After receiving his doctorate
from the Institute of Spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University in
Rome, he went on to author two Franciscan texts: “Poverty and Joy”, and “The
Franciscans”, and became one of the editors of the acclaimed three volume
series of books on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. He has also, for the
last eighteen years, been professor of Christian spirituality at the Franciscan
School of Theology in Berkeley, California.
