Lenten Retreat to be Held at Historic San Miguel Mission

San Miguel, CA. Tuesday, March 06, 2001 - If you already don’t know, there’s going to be a very special Lenten Retreat at the Old Mission San Miguel March 23rd  - 25th..   By popular demand, Brother Bill Short will be conducting the Retreat.  Br. Bill is a dynamic speaker that brings to life the spirituality and meaning of Lent in our everyday lives.

Br. Bill’s viewpoint comes from a long list of accomplishments and learning. After receiving his doctorate from the Institute of Spirituality at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome, he went on to author two Franciscan texts: “Poverty and Joy”, and “The Franciscans”, and became one of the editors of the acclaimed three volume series of books on the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. He has also, for the last eighteen years, been professor of Christian spirituality at the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley, California.

This is a Retreat that you don’t want to miss!  There are still a few rooms available; so make your reservations now by contacting the Old Mission San Miguel parish office at (805) 467-2131.
