Mission San Miguel,
San Miguel, CA. – Advent is
a time of renewing within ourselves the “Coming” of the Lord. This coming is
our hope for the future as well as our hope in the present time. San Miguel
Mission Parish will be holding an Advent Retreat on December 9th –
December 11, 2001 at San Miguel Mission. The Advent Retreat is an opportunity
to more prayerfully and reflectively enter into this beautiful Season of Light
and Hope. The focus of this Retreat will be on the Advent themes of Hope,
Light, Peace and Joy. Different approaches to prayerfully enter this most holy
season will be presented as well as a space and time will be given to allow the
participants to “prepare one’s heart” for the birth of the Messiah.
