Benefit for Mission San Miguel Highlights Talents of Best Vocal Music Ensembles of SLO County
Mission San
Miguel, San Miguel, CA. . – On Sunday May
30th, 7P.M.-9:00P.M. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 820 Creston
Road, Paso Robles, music lovers will have a rare opportunity to see and hear
some of SLO County’s best vocal and music ensembles perform in a benefit concert
for the badly earthquake- damaged Mission San Miguel.
The theme of the Music Festival is “One in
the Spirit.” The sponsoring ten North
County churches of the Christian Unity Week, are thrilled to announce, that
they will be joined by their fellow musicians: Gary Lamprecht’s San Luis Obispo
Vocal Arts Ensemble, Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolsa Choir, and the New World
Baroque Orchestra.

Warren, guest music coordinator for the event and Director of the New World
Baroque Orchestra said, “This is a rare opportunity for the public to see so
many outstanding music organizations perform at a single venue. We are all excited and delighted to offer
our talents to this very important cause ---the restoration of Mission San
Miguel, one of California’s oldest and most important historic landmarks.”
The ten North County churches include:
Atascadero United Methodist Church Choir, St. James’ Episcopal Parish Choir/
Band, Second Baptist and Youth Choirs, Plymouth Congregational Church Choir,
San Miguel Mission Choir, St. Rose of Lima Church Choir, Atascadero St. Luke
Episcopal Youth Symphony Ensemble, Templeton Bethel Lutheran Church Choir,
Trinity Lutheran Church Choir, and North County Christian Fellowship Church
Choir.
After the concert, refreshments will be
served. This is a Free Will Concert. All donations will go to the
Mission San Miguel Preservation Fund.
