ONE ENCHANTED EVENING AT CHAPEL HILL
 | | | | .- The third in a series of benefit concerts to aid in the reconstruction of earthquake damaged Mission San Miguel Arcangel will be held at the beautiful Chapel Hill in Shandon on Saturday, August 28th, beginning with a “getting to know you” social hour at 7P.M. and the serving of hors d’oeuvre appetizers, wine and other beverages prior to the starting of the program at around 8P.M.
This gala event will be hosted by Judge and Mrs. William Clark and will be sponsored by the Clark Family and the New World Baroque Orchestra, and will feature talented local artists, performing a wide variety of entertaining musical selections, from classical offerings to popular show tunes.
Performers will include the gifted vocalists, tenor James Brescia and sopranos Kristie Dart and Muriel Stettler, as well as other talented musicians and singers including guitarist Marilyn Blodget, flutist Jeri Knott, soloists from the Mission San Miguel Choir and members of the New World Baroque Orchestra. A special highlight of the program will be the premiere performance of new works for 4-hands piano and recorders by gifted young composer/musician Dori Stone as well as selections by her teacher, pianist Nancy Koren. Admission is $20.00, which includes the pre-show refreshments. Tickets will be available at the San Luis Obispo Mission Gift Shop, Booboo Records (San Luis Obispo), Mission San Miguel Mission Gift Store and at the door. Purchase tickets ahead or arrive early as seating will be limited to 400.
The Chapel may be reached by traveling 17 mi. east of Paso Robles on Hwy. 46, turning left on McMillan Road just before reaching Shandon and following the signs about 1 1/4 mi. to parking area. A shuttle bus will be available to take guests up to the Chapel.
