Golf Tournament to Benefit Mission San Miguel’s Preservation Fund

Posted on Aug 8, 2004

A group of community boosters headed by Don LaVallee, Dale Schwartz, Tom Baron and Gordon Marshall, is organizing a September 4th Golf Tournament they predict should raise at least $35,000.00 for the Mission San Miguel Preservation Fund. The Tournament is sponsored by First American Title Company and Señor Sancho’s Mexican Restaurant.

Golf enthusiasts take heed! –This is going to be a fun and lively event with all sorts of awards and prizes. From hole-in-one prizes of a new car and new tractor, team awards, longest drive… and much more –there’s something for every kind of golfer! And for the non-golfers, join us for the Santa Maria Style Barbecue, Silent Auction, and Raffle - including a fabulous Mexican Cruise for two, and four nights at the beautiful San Luis Bay Inn--- to name just a few items.

Tournament entry fee is $100 per player, with a limit of 144 entries. The entry fee includes green fees, cart, refreshments, and Santa Maria Style Barbecue. Guests are welcome to join the barbecue. Barbecue only tickets are $25 per person.

The Tournament is being held at the beautiful Paso Robles Golf Club on Saturday, September 4th 2004. The Tournament will be a 4-person team scramble format with a 9:30 A.M. Shotgun Start. The Barbecue will begin after the golf tournament at approximately 2 P.M.

Mission San Miguel, with its 207 year rich history, is the North County’s oldest historic landmark, and it’s important that we preserve it for future generations. Please join us in that effort!
